Course description: After a brief introduction to "francien", students will go through the "Old French Grammar" syllabus, to familiarize themselves with the grammar of Old French. Also, they will learn to use the Old French dictionary by translating texts from the 12th - 15th century in verse and prose. During class, these texts will be discussed and placed in their medieval literary context.
Total duration: 1 semester
