Programmes and courses Masters

Sectorplan - Faculty of Humanities

Academic year 2010-2011

Background

The University of Amsterdam, the VU University Amsterdam, Leiden University and Utrecht University have agreed to combine their strengths. This makes thorough specialisms in the various disciplines of humanities possible. The agreement concerns the following Master’s programmes: Arabic, German, French, Hebrew, Italian, Classics and Slavic. Students can compose a wide programme from the joint offering of courses. Furthermore, as a result, they can specialize in one of these fields even further than was possible before the Sector Plan cooperation. All students from the aforementioned Master’s programmes must attend courses for at least 10 ects at one of the partner universities. For students at Leiden University this is not obligatory. They are allowed to only choose courses offered in their own programme.

For more information about the Sector Plan and the procedures please consult the e-Prospectus of your own Master’s programme.

If you pass the attended course, your result will be registered at the partner university, as well as your own university. This will take place automatically after the semester has ended.

If you have any questions about the Sector Plan, your registration or your results, please contact your Sector Plan coordinator.
